Talking to Seeds
One day we’ll learn how to talk to seeds
dance into our old names
meet our own gods
laugh at a white one frowning at us
pull his beard
line up two hundred apples and eat them whole
without fear of cyanide
birth ourselves into ourselves in the future we lived all along
